Back to the 7th floor

Here we are back to the 7th floor of Strong.

Florian was taken back because he had a fever since Sunday along with a throat ache. Given the fact that he was at the last end of his treatment his white and red blood cells were very low so he didn't have any defense which is why they made him come. It was more reassuring for everyone since he wasn't feeling well at all.

They gave him antibiotics to make sure he didn't get any infections. His fever is slowly going down since Tuesday, his white blood cells count is going up, there is only his throat-ache that is persisting: his weak point apparently.

The worst part about this sickness is that it's impossible to know how he will feel in the future. Often he is in great shape, and doesn't stop joking around and then all of a sudden he "crashes" as he says. Nothing is going well, he is either nauseous, too cold, too hot, headache,.. In most cases he goes to sleep to restart from scratch. Let's just say his sleep schedule is a bit weird.
While I was writing the paragraphs Florian was sleeping. Before he was sleeping he wasn't in the best shape he has been. But he just woke up and hasn't stopped joking around. His new thing is he loves the hospital gowns. Since yesterday it's been all he wants to wear. The problem is to change it he has to remove his IV hookups.

So he needs a nurse who is equally as surprised for his passions for his new "clothes".
The first step is to assemble everything: he has bandages everywhere. Next you have to put everything on and close knots on the back. There is no reason to mention all the jokes about the old men who wander around the corridors with their ass in display.

Anyway, here are a few pictures of Florian so you can judge for yourselves. (look at the french post for the pictures, I haven't tried to add pictures to a post. It's the first time my mom knows something about the internet that I haven't had time to figure out)

  1. I guess he loves the hospital fashion for the same reason scottish people wear kilt, it has a certain feeling of ... as a certain W. Wallace would say... FREEEDOOOOOOOOOOM !!! And I must say, I totally agree with Florian on that point!

Loads of kisses and hugs and stuff from Belgium!!

J'espère que sa pancréatite est passée et que maintenant qu'on en a trouvé la cause il n'en n'aura plus à l'avenir !
